JEANINE GRIMMOND STRONG specializes in civil writs and appeals and has handled appeals in every state appellate district in California. Her practice includes advising trial counsel about preserving and perfecting issues for appeal, as well as assisting with dispositive and post-trial motions. She takes cases from a broad range of underling litigation, including breach of contract, anti-SLAPP, business, personal injury, business torts, and family law.
In 2005, she was certified as an Appellate Specialist by the California State Bar Board of Specialization. She is a member of the Appellate Courts Committee of the Santa Clara County Bar Association and was co-chair of the committee from 2008-2012. She has authored program materials and been a panelist in numerous continuing education activities, and has also served as a Judge Pro Tem for Small Claims Court. She teaches appellate advocacy at Santa Clara University School of Law.
Ms. Strong received her J.D. from the University of Iowa, College of Law in 1986, with distinction, and served as Articles Editor on the Iowa Law Review. She was a staff attorney at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, in Washington D.C., from 1987 to 1989. After moving to San Francisco, she joined Brobeck Phleger & Harrison, where she was an associate in the litigation group from 1989 to 1991.
